6. Children's Data & Parental Consent
Our services are targeted at students aged 13–18. For children under 16 (or lower age according to member state law), we require verifiable parental consent before collecting personal data. Parents/guardians may exercise the rights above on behalf of their child. If we discover that we have collected data without proper consent, we will delete it immediately.
7. Data Retention & Security
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Typically, account data is retained for 5 years after last login. You may request earlier deletion. We implement technical and organizational measures (encryption, access controls, regular audits) to protect your data against breaches.
In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours and inform you without undue delay.
8. Supervisory Authority & Complaints
If you believe that our processing of your personal data violates the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement. For the UK, the supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). However, we encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve your concerns amicably.
9. Specific GDPR Disclosures
Automated Decision-Making & Profiling
Our psychometric assessment uses automated algorithms to generate stream suitability scores and career recommendations. This constitutes automated decision-making (profiling) under GDPR. You have the right to object, request human intervention, and express your point of view. Please contact us if you want a manual review of your results.
Cookies & Tracking
We use essential, functional, and analytics cookies as described in our Cookies Policy. For EU users, we obtain explicit consent before placing any non-essential cookies via our cookie banner.
